TechnoFuture is a modular-based e-learning tool that teaches life skills to individuals of
all ages using a unique combination of computer skills and entrepreneurship. The menu
of offerings built into TechnoFuture comprises the following:
(a) TECHNOSCHOOL - this is divided into two parts, namely:
(i) TechnoTeacher: which teaches educators how to use ICT in the classroom to make teaching easier and learning fun; and
(ii) TechnoKids: which uses captivating theme-based projects (or assignments) to promote critical thinking and problem solving ability among 4-18 year olds; while
reinforcing literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
(b) TECHNOBUSINESS - This is geared towards students in tertiary institutions, adults (including those in paid employment or nearing retirement age) and beneficiaries of skills acquisition/poverty eradication programmes. The thrust of this module is to teach
individuals a vital combination of technology skills and entrepreneurship. Importantly, the end result is job and wealth creation and, ultimately, faster and sustainable economic
growth and development;
(c) TECHNOMEDIA - While this is an interesting module in and of itself, it is particularly relevant to individuals who are already in the media (journalism, photography and film production) or who are contemplating careers in that field.
